Interim position - 130k salary - The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) oversees all financial, accounting, budgeting, and compliance operations within the organization’s finance division. Managing multi-billion-dollar portfolios, the CFO is responsible for preparing and reconciling financial statements, directing audits, overseeing procurement and vendor payments, managing fund transfers and bond activities, and ensuring adherence to state and federal laws. The role also involves preparing the annual budget, presenting financial information to oversight bodies, collaborating with other agencies, supervising staff, and maintaining accurate reporting through the organization’s financial management system. In this case, New Mexico government's "SHARE" system.

• At least 5 years of experience in financial leadership roles, preferably managing large portfolios.
• Expertise in cash flow analysis and capital management.
• Strong background in month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in utilizing and overseeing business systems for financial operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal financial compliance regulations.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a high-pressure environment.
• Exceptional analytical and communication skills for presenting complex financial data.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or certification preferred.
