Institute is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to
join our thriving neurosurgery practice at Geisinger Wyoming Valley
Medical Center located in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania.
Job
Duties
The ideal candidate will enjoy a practice of 1st
assist in the OR on a weekly rotation, along with outpatient clinic
and inpatient / consult coverage. Call is included in this
position.
The neurosurgery NP or PA will join a
dedicated team of providers at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical
Center covering all areas of neurosurgery including spine, cranial,
trauma and vascular.
The successful Physician
Assistant must be a graduate of an ARC-approved physician assistant
program, eligible or certified by the National Commission for the
Certification of Physician Assistants and eligible or certified by
the State Board of Medicine.
The successful Nurse
Practitioner candidate will have a certificate of completion from
an approved program for Nurse Practitioners and must be eligible
for or certified by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
An acute care certification is required for this
position. Must be certified to work with all patient
population age groups.

providing neurosurgical services in four hospitals, including
multiple hybrid operating rooms supporting comprehensive stroke
programming.
