Role Purpose Statement

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Clerk / Coordinator to join our team. This is a Field position with responsibility for monitoring driver SOP and working with the department to ensure compliance; in addition to maintaining and monitoring employee safety within our buildings. This role will be a blend of 80% in the field (airport ramps) and 20% office. The ideal candidate will have a background in ramp or safety experience or have recently supervisory experience. You must be able to work (Wednesday through Sunday 3 : 30am to 12pm)

Main Accountabilities

  • Responsible for SOP training for all new drivers and re-training of drivers
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining all driver files
  • Processing of all Port Authority / Customs identifications
  • Responsible for ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures
  • Assist the Ramp Safety Supervisor as needed and perform other duties as assigned

    • Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days of hire
  • 3-5 years of safety experience preferred; AOA ramp experience may be substituted year for year for Safety experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and other computer applications
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with large groups - must be flexible
