What You Will Do :

• Follow specific directions of Leader / Supervisor to carry out repair and restoration projects for engine parts.
• Layout work requirements and obtain needed equipment to perform routine repair and alteration operations.
• Perform bench repair operations to restore parts where close tolerances are not normally required and specifically defined criteria are used.
• Recognize need and arrange for repair or replacement of equipment used in performing the work as necessary.
• .Perform routine servicing throughout the assigned area following specified procedures and written instructions such as operators check list for upkeep and to assure equipment operates properly.
• Assist others responsible for new process tryout and other specialized assignments within the scope and skill level of this job description.
• .Refer difficulties to Leader / Supervisor.
• Maintain logs and records as requested to communicate findings and prepare requests for approval.
• May be required to train for obtain and maintain licenses operator permits and certifications within assigned area.
• May be assigned to carry out tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individuals skills.

2nd shift hours are Monday through Friday from approximately 3 pm to 12 am.

Qualifications You Must Have :

High School Diploma or GED.

U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program / contract.

Able to obtain / maintain active Security Clearance after Day 1 of work.

2 years of experience in blueprint reading CNC manual machining & reading. Knowledge of shop math.

Pratt & Whitney in Middletown CT is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportations Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
