  • Team - You will join the Agent Productivity Tools (APT) team within the Enterprise Applications and Architecture organization. This team is essential for enhancing customer service and compliance processes by designing innovative services, tools, and applications that empower our Customer Experience agents to resolve customer issues and facilitate KYC compliance efficiently. The outcome? Increased customer satisfaction and a seamless experience.
  • Role - Your mission will be to develop applications that enhance the productivity of Coinbase customer agents and users, utilizing AI and ML technologies to drive automation and impactful results at scale.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and implement complete user features leveraging React, JavaScript frameworks, Golang, and cloud technologies.
  • Assess and integrate third-party AI / ML solutions into our systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, security, data, and engineering teams to tackle complex problems.
  • Exhibit a deep understanding of Coinbase’s platform, development methodologies, and diverse technical areas, applying this knowledge to enhance our overall efficiency.
  • Contribute to an environment that consistently prioritizes innovative thinking and the execution of great ideas.
  • Proactively identify potential challenges and adapt solutions to mitigate them before they impact projects.
  • Communicate effectively across the organization with both technical and non-technical leaders.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into easily digestible information for entry-level or non-technical team members.
  • Mentor colleagues in design principles, coding standards, testing, deployment processes, documentation, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with team members across different time zones to maintain project momentum.
  • What We Look for in You

  • A minimum of 2 years of software engineering experience, with a proven track record in large-scale systems development using Golang and cloud technologies, in addition to shipping user-facing features with JavaScript and modern frameworks like React.
  • Experience successfully integrating AI / ML APIs into web applications.
  • Familiarity with third-party vendor integrations.
  • Adeptness in handling large-scale, high-traffic platforms while ensuring the implementation of robust, scalable services.
  • Experience in contributing to technical architecture development and its implementation.
  • Knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, BuildKite, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with implementing rate limiters, caching, load balancing, circuit breakers, and metrics / logging best practices.
  • Understanding of event-driven architectures (like Kafka or MQ), proficiency in SQL or NoSQL databases, and conceptual knowledge of gRPC and GraphQL.
  • Strong proficiency in Go.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Knowledge of Python or Ruby.
  • Experience with SaaS platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with applications utilizing OpenAI or ChatGPT.

    Pay Transparency Notice : Based on your location, the target annual salary for this position ranges from $128,775 to $151,500 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase also come with a target bonus, equity options, and comprehensive benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
