Job Title : Mechanical Test Engineer

Working Pattern : Fulltime

Working location : West Lafayette, Indiana

We have an exciting opportunity as a Mechanical Test Engineer, where you will work with a team of test engineers to support subsystem and component testing. As a part of this role, you will plan design and execute subsystem level tests that support Rolls-Royce development programs. This role will focus heavily on gas turbine engine compressor testing, including design, development, and execution of compressor rig tests.

What you will be doing :

With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to :

Plan and execute mechanical testing of subsystems and components; to include aerospace engine compressor rig testing.Design and construct test setups to achieve specified test results for customersCoordinate test readiness reviews, risk assessments and data review sessionsDesign, troubleshoot, and maintain complex electro-mechanical test systems, instrumentation, advanced data acquisition, and experimental test control systemsPerform data analysis for troubleshooting test systems and present results to internal and external customersManage facility assets and instrumentation, including tracking and coordinating calibration schedules and performing required periodic maintenance

Basic Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2 years of engineering experience, ORMaster's degree in Engineering, ORPhD in Engineering, OR In order to be eligible for consideration, you should be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Requirements :

Experience with gas turbine engine testingExperience with gas turbine engine compressor design and operationFamiliarity with aerospace engines and engine controls technologyIndependent thinking with strong communication skills and team mentality
