Position Summary

The manufacturing engineer technician provides technical support during the design of manufacturing processes for our production facility. This position will report to Operations Manager.

Essential Functions

Assists in the fabrication and repair of all necessary tooling and machines.

Assists in troubleshooting day-to-day process performance issues, develops solutions, and monitors improvements.

Assists in the development and evaluation of manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of manufacturing best practices, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, test methods, and quality control standards.

Assists in the development of layouts or floor plans

Documents test procedures and results

Solves routine technical problems

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSA's)

Must be acceptance of ongoing change and ability to adapt

Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, JDE is preferred

Must be multitask oriented, organized, able to set priorities, and meet deadlines

Knowledge of production processes

Ability to work well with others

Effective communication skills

Ability to accept added responsibility

Prior experience working in a lean manufacturing environment is preferred

Metal Forming / Welding / Fabrications experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Education And Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent

3-5 years of manufacturing processes experience
