Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading the SiAW GS Team.
• Design of mechanical parts and assemblies, including 3D CAD modeling; 2D drawing drafting, review, revision, and release; selection of components and materials; support of trade studies.
• Communicating with suppliers and customers to exchange technical information.
• Coordinate with supply chain regarding supplier changes, cost reductions, process improvements, and changing suppliers.
• Coordinate with manufacturing regarding design and process improvements.
• Collaborating with other functional areas on various aspects of product design / documentation, including procurement, production, logistics, or configuration management.
• Hands-on troubleshooting, inspection, or assembly of parts / subsystems in support of prototyping, production, or test.
• Performing tolerance stack up analysis and authoring reports documenting them.
• Collaborating with analysis teams who are responsible for performing mass properties, structural, thermal, and materials / processes reports.
• Creating and delivering engineering briefings or reports to support design review activities.
• Tracking & reporting task status.
• Assist team to develop / document best practices and mentor less experienced engineers.
• Create and maintain design history files and track design defects, assign priority / severity, ensure design owner assigned, and report on status.
• Resolve NCs and guide team members on NC resolution.

Primary Level Salary Range : $137,400.00 - $206,000.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\'s experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
