Marmon/Keystone, a distributor of pipe and tubing, is looking for a FULL TIME Operations Assistant for our Temperance MI warehouse. The Operations Assistant is a dual role that supports branch operations by handling office tasks associated with receiving, inventory control and customer service. This position will also work in the warehouse as needed processing orders for customers.
Work hours are 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday.
Office Job Duties
- Process inbound material documentation, prepare warehouse receiving reports, and process receipts through internal systems.
- Verify completion of all orders by applicable due date
- Daily review of billing of sales orders as needed
- Prepare system manifest / packing lists / bills of lading for all outbound shipments
- Coordinate motor freight shipments & schedule appointments for inbound shipments.
- Coordinate outbound shipments with carrier and plan truck routes/loads
- Scan and post all Proof of Deliveries into applicable system manifest
- Process paperwork for warehouse receiving and distribute to personnel
- Maintain and assist with DOCK items to keep inventory clean
- Process and report RMA (returned merchandise) and damaged material for deposition
- Coordinate interbranch shipments to include system generated manifest and shipping documents
Warehouse Job Duties
- Process customer orders in the warehouse
- Pull material (various types of steel) from warehouse locations
- Package material safely and efficiently
- Use overhead remote-control cranes
- Load and unload trailers using overhead cranes and forklifts
- Use forklifts as needed
- Automated band saw operation to cut steel
- Use of steel banding and various packaging equipment to process material for customers
Education Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
Work Experience and Skill Requirements
- Must have excellent data entry and computer skills
- Good math skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and multi-tasking capabilities
- Good customer service skills
- Strong tape measure proficiency.
- 2+ years prior warehouse experience preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
