We are seeking an energetic and experienced Assistant Preschool Teacher as well as a full time Office Assistant / Floater to join our team! Assistant Preschool Teacher will be helping leading a class of students through the school year, assessing their current academic level, and designing instruction to meet students collective and individual needs. Office Assistant / Floater will be working in the office with the director as well as filling in classrooms when needed.
You are passionate about learning and helping students reach their potential both emotionally and educationally. With strong creative and problem-solving skills, you love connecting with individual students and creating an engaging classroom environment.
Responsibilities
Support the lead teacher in following a comprehensive curriculumSupport the lead teacher in teaching beginning reading and math skillsAssist children with developing social and emotional skillsUse a range of instructional methods and learning techniquesCommunicate with parents and other school personnelAssist in assessing student's skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestonesQualifications
At least 3 ECE (Early Childhood Education) units and willing to take up to 9 more unitsAn understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom managementExcellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelinesProblem-solving and mediation skills
