Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a MA RN license and advanced certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in an acute care setting
  • Handles a diverse caseload including ortho, neuro, general surgery, ENT, and trauma cases
  • Day and evening shifts available, typically 8 or 10 hour shifts
  • Preferred schedule is either four 11A-9P shifts or five 1P-9P shifts per week
  • Assignment duration is 13 weeks
  • OR has 23 rooms with a high daily surgical volume of 50-70 cases
  • Uses Cerner Soarian EMR
  • May cover a weekend shift approximately every 6 weeks
  • Works as part of a multidisciplinary team in a busy academic environment
  • Exposure to trauma cases is expected
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply

  • Active MA RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Experience in high-volume post-anesthesia care preferred
  • ICU or pediatric experience preferred
  • ECT procedure experience is a plus
