Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a NY license, EPIC proficiency, and circulating skills for a 6-week hospital assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
  • Assignment is 6 weeks in duration
  • 12-hour day shifts scheduled Monday through Sunday
  • Floating to other units is required as needed
  • Coverage required every other weekend and on-call once every 3rd to 4th weekend plus one night per week
  • Uses EPIC EMR
  • Operating Room RNs assist with both circulating and scrub duties according to experience
  • On-call responsibilities include nights and weekends as scheduled
  • Block scheduling is not permitted
  • Personal vehicles should be equipped with all season or snow tires from November to April
  • All work history information, including bed count and EMR used, must be provided for consideration
  • Local candidates are accepted with adjusted rates based on distance from the facility

    • Requirements

  • Active NY RN license or proof of NY license application dated prior to consideration
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent OR RN experience required
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Circulating experience required; scrub experience preferred
  • EPIC experience within the past 2 years is required
  • Reliable personal transportation required as public transportation is not available in the area
