Applewood Centers is a private, nonprofit agency dedicated to providing essential mental health services, social services, and educational support to children, adolescents, and families. We serve the Cuyahoga and Lorain counties, offering a comprehensive range of care from outpatient counseling to residential treatment.
POSITION SUMMARY :
We are seeking a compassionate Intensive Home-Based Treatment (IHBT) Therapist to join our dynamic team. Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, the IHBT Therapist will deliver comprehensive individual and family assessments and psychotherapy, as well as Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) to caregivers and families. Sessions are conducted in clients' homes and community settings. You will manage a small caseload over a period of 3 to 6 months, and collaborate with various agencies, including DCFS, to enhance client care. Flexibility is key, as some evening hours may be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :
- Engage in weekly team consultations and training.
- Participate in individual and group supervision with your clinical supervisor.
- Provide IHBT services tailored to client needs, adhering to the IHBT model.
- Secure and maintain CANS certification for necessary assessments.
- Develop measurable, focused Individual Treatment Plans (ITPs) aligned with client and family priorities.
- Work collaboratively with families to create crisis plans and provide necessary coaching and support.
- Build strong, strengths-focused relationships with clients and families.
- Assess family system challenges and implement appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate within a team to identify resources and create linkages for family stabilization and support.
- Support clients and their families with skill development to improve family dynamics.
- Offer supportive services to clients within educational settings as required.
- Meet established productivity expectations for IHBT staff.
- Establish collaborative relationships with additional professionals and agencies involved.
- Advocate for clients and assist families in accessing essential resources and services.
- Uphold professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions.
- Ensure timely case closure with relevant discharge plans and paperwork.
- Maintain flexible scheduling for evening appointments when necessary.
- Obtain supervisory signatures in accordance with licensing guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.Valid LSW, LPC, or MFT license required.Experience in Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is preferred.Strong communication, interpersonal, and assessment skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.EXPERIENCE :
Experience in delivering mental health services to children and families in community settings.Background in working with families facing complex challenges such as trauma and poverty.SALARY AND BENEFITS :
