Bonus : Up to $8,000 annually ($2,000 quarterly) based on KPI achievement

Job Overview :
Herbert Roofing is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead all aspects of Human Resources, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, compliance, and culture. This role ensures that Herbert Roofing attracts, hires, and retains top talent while maintaining an efficient, compliant, and people-first HR infrastructure. The HR Manager will also manage the company’s EOS meeting cadence to keep the organization aligned and accountable.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Recruiting & Hiring
- Develop and manage recruiting strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
- Post and maintain job listings, coordinate interview scheduling, and manage candidate communication.
- Partner with hiring managers to define job descriptions and hiring timelines.
- Maintain hiring metrics and ensure timely placement of open positions.
2. Onboarding & Offboarding
Lead new hire onboarding, ensuring all documentation and systems are complete prior to start dates.Deliver new hire orientation covering company values, EOS overview, and expectations.Manage offboarding processes including exit checklists, equipment returns, and exit interviews.Coordinate smooth transitions across departments for new hires.3. Payroll & Benefits
Process payroll accurately and on schedule in coordination with Finance.Maintain employee records, tax forms, and compliance documentation.Administer benefits programs including health insurance and Simple IRA.Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries.4. HR Compliance & Employee Records
Maintain 100% compliance on personnel files and required documentation.Support federal and state employment law compliance, including handbooks, postings, and forms.Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.5. EOS Meeting Cadence
Schedule and manage all EOS meetings including departmental L10s, quarterly conversations, and annual planning.Distribute agendas, track issues / to-dos, and maintain meeting rhythm for accountability.6. Culture & Engagement
Partner with leadership to promote Herbert Roofing’s core values and a positive company culture.Support engagement and recognition programs to retain top talent.Maintain open communication between leadership and employees.Performance Metrics :
