Job Summary

The University of North Georgia and the Institute for Environmental & Spatial Analysis (IESA) would like to invite applications for a Graduate Assistant position to support IESA faculty with labs. The graduate student in any of these roles will work closely with faculty members in an innovative and collaborative environment. NOTE : Applicants requesting a tuition waiver associated with this position should provide a 1-page statement of interest, purpose, and need.

Responsibilities

  • Assist faculty with pre and post laboratory responsibilities
  • Assist students with pre and post laboratory activities including content understanding and assignment completion
  • Assist faculty during lab classes which may include setting up labs, organization of lab materials, assistant students during labs, and other lab-associated tasks

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Reliable and responsible in conducting assigned duties
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Technology skills and the ability to use ethically and efficiently to meet goals and achieve tasks
  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.

  • MS-SIDS graduate students preferred
