Position Overview
The Engineering Technology System Analyst will play a key role in advancing technology and innovation across the Engineering Solutions Unit within the Port Authority's Engineering Department. This position will provide technical leadership, system support, and strategic insight to ensure seamless integration and optimization of engineering software, hardware, and cloud-based platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support engineering software including Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam Revu, Revit, Leica Cyclone Enterprise, Base Map Management Service (BMMS), NearMap, and Esri ArcGIS Pro.
- Coordinate software rollouts and upgrades, customizing features to meet engineering requirements.
- Evaluate and test new hardware and software technologies for functionality, compatibility, and cybersecurity compliance.
- Collaborate with senior management to align technology strategies with engineering project objectives.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials for engineering staff.
- Deliver user training sessions and internal "Knowledge Bar" presentations to promote best practices.
- Troubleshoot software issues and implement minor enhancements to improve system functionality.
- Support Azure Data Lake storage management and assist with Engineering Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) initiatives.
- Generate Power BI reports and analytics dashboards to track software usage and system performance.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) sector, supporting AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks projects.Proven experience in engineering document management and project information systems.Hands-on experience supporting Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) groups for engineering projects.Familiarity with Azure Cloud Technologies for data storage and system maintenance.Minimum 5 years of experience with Bluebeam Revu and Adobe Acrobat Pro for PDF workflows and collaboration.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) certification.Advanced experience managing 3D scanned point cloud data and engineering data workflows.Prior experience working with large public agencies or utilities.What We Offer
