Job Description
Position Summary : Performs basic and intricate electronic / electro-mechanical assembly functions on prototype and production type hardware according to company workmanship standards and military or client specifications . Assists in the development and wiring of engineering models and in the development of assembly methods and wire lists . Uses hand or power tools to trim, shim, cut, and make other adjustments to fit components together and align them properly. May assist in instructing and training lower-level assemblers . Reads and interprets wiring lists and assembly drawings to work orders using work instructions . May perform any rework from test failures in accordance with standard repair procedures and may set up and operate automated assembly equipment. At the most senior level may serve as a team leader providing training to new staff and evaluating the performance and finished work of assigned staff.
