Responsibilities

Mesilla Valley Hospital has been in operation since 1987, serving those in need of treatment for a variety of psychiatric and substance abuse issues. Mesilla Valley Hospital is a 120-bed facility, providing access to quality behavioral healthcare and substance abuse treatment to residents of New Mexico, West Texas and Arizona. Qualifications

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

O Good telephone public relations and communication skills.

O Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and non-verbally.

O Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact diplomatically and to maintain a professional demeanor with physicians, the public and hospital staff at all times.

O Maintains and respects confidentiality of patients and facility.

O Able to work in an organized and independent manner.

O Experience with Microsoft Word and electronic mail preferred.

O Type 35-40 words per minute.

O Knowledge of computer keyboard

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

O One year PBX receptionist experience, preferably in a hospital or medical setting.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

O None.

REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS

O None

ORK ENVIRONMENT

O Ability to work with multiple telephone-lines and handle a heavy volume of calls per shift.

O Ability to work with many interruptions.

O Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where noise levels may fluctuate.
