The Registered Respiratory Therapist, under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Services, provides and administers all aspects of Respiratory Care Therapy and supportive equipment as per departmental policies and procedures. Responsibilities Providing respiratory therapy under medical direction, including education, treatment, management, and diagnostic evaluation of patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies. Assisting with intubation and managing ventilator set-up. Gathering necessary information to evaluate patient needs, including disease education and consultations with healthcare professionals. Developing rapport with patients and caregivers to foster an optimal care environment. Documenting and providing education to patients / caregivers based on identified needs. Other duties as assigned. Adhering to organizational competencies and standards of behavior. Schedule Shift : 6 : 45 PM - 7 : 15 AM, every other weekend required, and holidays as needed. Limited RTO. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of Registered Respiratory Therapist experience is required. High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy. BLS - AHA certification. ACLS and PALS certification. Current and valid New Jersey Respiratory Care license.
