POSITION SUMMARY :
The Human Resources Intern role is ideal for a student or recent graduate eager to gain hands-on experience in recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement. You’ll work closely with the HR department to support our hiring and retention efforts, assist with internal communications, along with administrative and project support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist with full cycle recruiting activities, including creating job postings, reviewing resumes, resume mining, and scheduling interviews.
- Support onboarding and orientation for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
- Assists in the printing of orientation materials. Completes IT onboarding checklist for new hires.
- Help maintain employee training records and assist with planning our annual safety seminar.
- Help organize and facilitate apprenticeship training.
- Partner with Marketing to create and share engaging recruiting materials, assist with event planning, and help promote company culture across internal and social media channels.
- Attend career fairs, classroom visits, and other recruiting events.
- Additional duties as required, including, but not limited to employment verifications, communications, travel coordination, and assisting with other projects as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATION :
Education / Experience : Working towards a degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Marketing, or any related field. Previous administrative experience strongly desired.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Comprehensive knowledge of human resources principles, practices and procedures.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.Strong attention to detail.Highly customer service oriented.Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office.Familiarity of various social media platforms.Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all level of employees in a team-oriented environment.Other critical skills include planning & organizing; problem identification / resolution, multi-tasking, follow-through skills to bring tasks to closure in a timely manner, priority setting, and having a sense of urgency in accomplishing tasks in a timely manner.Starting pay is $20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
