The Heart Institute at Stony Brook Medicine is seeking an outstanding interventional and consultative cardiologist to help expand and shape cardiovascular services on the East End of Long Island. This is a unique opportunity where leadership in patient care, program development, and access to advanced services will have a direct and lasting impact on the community. The successful applicant would :

• Play a leading role in the growth of a thriving general cardiology practice and interventional service in a region with expanding demand and rapid population growth.
• Provide independent STEMI call coverage at a full-service community hospital, supported by a dedicated cath lab team.
• Enjoy a balance of outpatient and inpatient cardiology clinical care responsibilities with opportunities to interpret echocardiograms, perform TEEs, and read cardiac imaging.
• Live and work in one of the most beautiful coastal communities in the Northeast, with quick access to beaches, vineyards, and waterfront living.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

MD, DO or MD / PhD (or foreign equivalent). Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Board certified / eligible in both Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Excellence in clinical care and teaching in cardiology (inpatient and outpatient). U.S. work authorization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Level II training in echocardiography or advanced imaging, including nuclear training.
