This tertiary care hospital operates 528 staffed beds and features a 26-bed Intermediate Care Unit dedicated to providing exceptional, evidence-based care. The PCU serves as a critical care step-down unit receiving patients from the Emergency Department, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit, and medical-surgical floors. The unit specializes in caring for adult acute care patients requiring more specialized attention than general medical-surgical units can provide, with a focus on pulmonary patients and various medical diagnoses. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
