Entry Level Legal Assistant

Position Description

Glasser and Glasser, P.L.C., an "AV"-rated firm in downtown Norfolk, Virginia, is seeking to add a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team!

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and is a must to succeed as a part of our firm.

Position duties include but are not limited to:

• Work with a team and individually to perform legal support tasks as directed by supervisory staff.
• Collaborate with other staff members on projects.
• Open files.
• Run database searches.
• Data entry.
• Draft letters.
• Review and enter data accurately into several database systems.

• Comply with firm and client compliance and timeline requirements.

Qualifications:

• Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework a plus.
• Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate excellent computer and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel.
• Previous collections, mortgage servicing, foreclosure, bankruptcy, real estate, is a plus but not required.
• Previous experience working in a law firm is a plus but not required.

Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per HOUR
