Job description

Pipe Fitter

Compensation : $33 / hour and $125 per diem, working 50-60+ hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the area lead to ensure proper material call out and sizing for each project.
  • Analyze drawings and specifications to plan fitter operations where procedural information might not be available.
  • Continuously improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes.
  • Fit all sizes and piping on various small and large assemblies.
  • Communicate effectively with management, engineering staff, and planners to achieve build efficiency.
  • Modify, repair, assemble, and install rocket and spacecraft components.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 3+ years of experience with fitting stainless pipe.
  • Proficient in the use of bevelers, threaders, and other end prep machines.
  • Working knowledge of pipe-fitting techniques and methods.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers and fractions rapidly and accurately.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • NCCER certification as an industrial pipe fitter.
  • 5+ years of experience with fitting stainless pipe in various sizes.

    This is a contract to hire position based out of Cocoa, Florida.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $33.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
