Title : Senior Accountant
Location : Alexandria, VA
Compensation : $39-42 / hr
Benefits : This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Keys to Hire :
- 3+ years non-profit accounting experience
- Run month-end close process, update GL, reconcile bank statements and balance sheets
- Prior experience with grants a plus
Job Responsibilities :
Verify all journal entries and update the General LedgerImprove processes, procedures, and controls while working with various departmentsManage the processing of cash receipts, recording of revenue and receivablesReview and process expense reports and receipts submitted by cardholders on a monthly basisPrepare and analyze the monthly budget / forecast to actual variance reports per program and department.Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, employer’s benefit costs, accruals and prepaid expenses.Prepare and analyze the monthly budget / forecast to actual variance reports per program and department.Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, employer’s benefit costs, accruals and prepaid expenses.Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements, budget performance, and interim grant financial reportingRequirements :
