Concrete Maintenance Worker & Road Maintenance Worker
The City of Gresham is seeking qualified candidates to fill a current vacancy in the Transportation Division of Environmental Services as a Concrete Maintenance Worker & Road Maintenance Worker (Public Utility Worker 2). This position will involve operating a variety of light and heavy equipment and tools to maintain the City's transportation infrastructure.

What you will get to do :
- Repair and maintain roadways, sidewalks, ADA ramps and bridges
- Install, maintain, seal and repair paved streets, unimproved roads, shoulders, sidewalks, ADA ramps and bridges
- Remove damaged road areas for excavation
- Prepare streets for overlays and slurry seals
- Patch, fill potholes, pave, grade and sweep
- Excavate, pour and finish concrete
- Operate light to heavy equipment and commercial vehicles
- Participate in snow and ice removal and perform spill response
- Participate in traffic control for vehicular and pedestrian crashes
- Repair and maintain signs, markings and rights-of-way
- Fabricate, install and assure proper placement of street signs, barricades, traffic control devices, and pavement markings
- Paint traffic markings, dividers, bridges, and parking spaces
- Maintain City lots and rights-of-way and remove debris and garbage
- Mow, spray, pull weeds and trim vegetation
- Operate light to heavy equipment, bucket truck, and commercial vehicles
- Operate light-duty trucks to 10 yard commercial dump trucks with plows, sanders, and de-icers.
- Collect and maintain data for asset management, winter operations, right-of-way, and other programs
- Complete work orders, time and attendance records, and interact using email, cell phone, and computer applications.

The typical work schedule will be four 10-hour days per week either Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday. Work is predominantly performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and involves manual labor. This position will require being on-call on occasion to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
