Grá is a Michelin Bib dinner restaurant in Echo Park specializing in organic sourdough pizza that is 100% natural in its fermentation, topped with classic & exciting new modern ingredients, and cooked out of a classic Neopolitan-style wood burning oven.
We are looking for a talented & passionate chef who truly loves this industry and wants to be proud of their work and deepen their knowledge for cuisine. This role involves working on everything from snacks / apps / salads / hot station to tartare / ferments etc. You should be used to high volume kitchens and understand the finesse that elevated small plates require. Having a knowledge of classic techniques is crucial with an appetite for modern execution.
To be successful in this role, you should be humble, organised, passionate, creative, a great team player, understand the layers involved in making delicious food and have experience of cooking with different techniques and styles from all over the world.
The menu's theme revolves around the beauty of natural fermentation from our sourdough pizza, natural wine to seasonal ferments. A lot of dishes will include a wide variety of pickling & preservation techniques- expect to prepare housemade kimchi & other seasonal ferments.
This is an hourly positon that also receives big tips!
