Donor Relations Manager

• Connect giving family to the impact they are making through their gifts
• Manage all aspects of the donor portfolio, from identification and cultivation to solicitation and stewardship
• Conduct regular giving family meetings and calls to deepen connections, clarify philanthropic goals, present compelling opportunities, and confidently secure financial commitments
• Prepare persuasive, impact-driven proposals and presentations that inspire decisive generosity
• Proactively move qualified prospects through the pipeline with intentional follow-up and clear next steps.
• Research current and prospective donors using wealth screening and other avenues to better inform conversations during the cultivation process
• Draft and send donor acknowledgments, both written and digitally, to ensure that donors are promptly thanked for their support
• Develop a year-round communication and solicitation strategy to increase retention and upgrade giving
• Respond in a timely manner to incoming donor inquiries
• Build rapport and trust and maintain relationships with staff, business and community leaders, philanthropic individuals, and families across the nation to expand the mission reach and funding
• Promote hand-off of high capacity giving family members to the Director of Engagement as needed
• Maintain accurate donor records and complete actions in CRM regularly
• Support performance metrics and accountability measures to drive the achievement of strategic objectives and revenue targets
• Work collaboratively with other departments as needed to develop targeted engagement opportunities
• Support the Events team with planning and execution of donor related events, including but not limited to our Gala & Golf Classic
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• 4-6 years of experience cultivating and soliciting, and closing 6-figure gifts from individual/foundations
• Comprehensive understanding of fundraising principles and practices, including moves management, pipeline strategy, and revenue forecasting
• Experience in proposal development & campaign execution
• Ability to confidently manage and prioritize a portfolio of 150+ donors
• Experience in CRM & database management, such as Raisers Edge, Hubspot, and/or Virtuous
• Exercise considerable independence and judgment with a high level of confidentiality
• Outstanding verbal, written communication and relational skills
• A humble, mission-driven posture combined with the persistence and courage required to ask boldly on behalf of those we serve
