Business Operations Manager, Infrastructure
The Production Engineering (PE) team ensures the reliability, scalability, performance, and security of Meta's production services and infrastructure. They work closely with engineering teams to proactively solve complex problems, automate processes, and keep Meta's systems running smoothly at massive scale. As an executive Business Operations Lead for the PE organization, you'll serve as the cohesive link that enhances our leadership team's visibility, enabling them to operate with efficiency and strategic foresight within a cross-functional and lean horizontal framework.
Responsibilities
Build and execute a rhythm of the business that forecasts organization-wide events and community plans for leaders.
Drive strategic internal initiatives and ensure progress on priority work streams, build decision-making frameworks, and deliverables.
Operate as the subject matter expert for headcount management, ensuring resources are deployed in priority areas.
In partnership with recruiting, build a hiring and communications strategy that streamlines hiring practices and accelerates hiring velocity.
Establish a review structure for high-priority workstreams, ensuring cadence, pre-reviewed coaching, action item tracking, and outcome dissemination.
Draft internal communications on behalf of leaders, including long-form posts and live presentations.
Manage strategic planning processes, establish annual organizational objectives, key results, and resource plans.
Drive special projects, including organizational transformation, partnering with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new processes as needed.
Collaborate with the executive admin team to lead the planning and execution of All-Hands and offsite events.
Partner with HR to develop an employee engagement strategy that aligns with centrally managed programs.
Travel up to 10-15% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications
12+ years of experience in program management, project management, strategy, management consulting, or operations.
2+ years of experience supporting VP or director-level leaders as a program manager or Chief of Staff.
Demonstrated quantitative, analytical, and conceptual problem-solving skills with solid business acumen.
Effective prose and presentation skills with high craft quality.
Proven problem-solving experiences, handled individually and in groups.
Track record of organizing, developing, and executing strategy projects with successful outcomes.
Experience operating on your own initiative and efficiently to track key organizational priorities, identify efficiencies, and drive team alignment.
Proven experience partnering with cross-functional leadership to transform insights into actionable outcomes.
Experience navigating business structures while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
Highly organized, experienced in project management, willing to shift seamlessly between strategic counsel and smaller daily tasks.
Demonstrated experience consistently working collaboratively with your teams and key stakeholders with executive level communication skills who has successfully worked in changing, ambiguous and high expectations environments.
Detail-oriented, operationally minded professional who can think strategically, adapt quickly, and rapidly earn credibility and interact with all levels of the organization.
