Overview

Electrical Engineer

LOCATION : Redstone Arsenal, AL

JOB STATUS : Full-time

CLEARANCE : Ability to Obtain Secret

TRAVEL : ~10%

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer for the Redstone Test and Engineering Support (RTES) Contract , supporting the IDAP Division.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Electrical Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited school or a degree in an applicable technical specialty.
  • 9+ yrs experience in aircraft / aircraft systems / aircraft instrumentation (e.g., flight control, displays, radar, communication / navigation, airframe) testing.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Ability to read and create electrical schematics.
  • Ability to create or modify Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) data streams.
  • Working knowledge of programming numerical systems such as Binary, Hexadecimal, Octal, etc.
  • Working knowledge of how to interface with, and record data from, military aviation platforms.

    • RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Incumbent will serve as a senior electronical engineer in the field of airborne instrumentation systems integration for the U.S. Army Test & Evaluation Command, Redstone Test Center.
  • Responsible for planning, execution, real-time data quality monitoring, data analysis, and reporting for developmental and / or operational tests of system integrations on various aviation weapon system platforms.
