About the Role
Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Subject Matter Expert III to support the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Logistics (ODASD(Log)) in Alexandria, VA. This mid-level role requires a candidate with strong organizational skills, policy expertise, and the ability to manage executive-level communications and logistics policy development. The ideal candidate will have a security clearance, a bachelor's degree (master's preferred), and a commitment to compliance and process improvement in a dynamic government logistics environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare daily read-ahead materials and executive talking points for senior leadership.
- Manage records, contact lists, and distribution lists for the ODASD(Log) office.
- Support congressional reporting, legislative review, and audit response activities.
- Maintain and update ODASD(Log) policies and issuances, including drafting recommendations.
- Conduct policy research and provide monthly status reports on policy development.
- Create and maintain business process maps and enterprise architecture documentation.
- Draft correspondence, presentations, reports, and manage tasks in CATMS.
- Support boards, committees, and special projects, including surge studies and special studies.
- Analyze internal and external policy proposals and recommend updates to ensure compliance.
- Provide directorate-specific support for supply, transportation, and commercial support operations.

Job Requirements
Active Secret Security Clearance.Minimum 5 years of experience in front office support and policy management.Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and MS Teams.Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing executive-level materials.Ability to develop and maintain business process maps and support process improvement initiatives.Attention to detail and commitment to compliance with audit standards.Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally.Willingness to work on-site in Alexandria, VA, up to 5 days per week.Strong analytical and research skills for policy development and reporting.Education Requirements
