Job Summary The City of St. Peters is seeking a detail-oriented GIS Analyst to support the development, implementation, and operations of our Geographical Information System. This role provides technical expertise that directly supports a variety of departments-including Engineering, Police, Parks, Utilities, and Economic Development, ensuring accurate data and innovative mapping solutions that help our community thrive.
Normal Shift : Mon-Fri; 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain GIS applications, interactive web maps, and department-specific workflows.
- Collect, edit, analyze, and ensure the quality of spatial data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify GIS needs and design effective technical solutions.
- Create user documentation, training materials, and provide product training as needed.
- Manage user accounts in ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and support IT with implementation of new technology.
- Perform project management tasks to track assignments and progress.
- Ensure compliance with City safety standards and contribute to special projects as assigned.
Minimum Requirements the Applicant Must Meet to Be Considered :
Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.Bachelor's Degree in Geography, GIS, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or a related field and two (2) years' experience with GIS applications or equivalent combination of education and experience.Proficiency with GIS software tools (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Apps, and associated scripting languages like Arcade )Desired Qualifications That Are Preferred but Not Required :
Master's degree in Geography or another graduate degree, with experience working with GIS.Experience with technical writing and development of training materials.Experience 3D Drone Mapping Software, ArcGIS Monitor, and ArcGIS Spatial Analyst.Experience working with SQL Server.Experience managing Big Data Stores used with Spatiotemporal Data.Experience working with ArcGIS Scenes and 3D datasets.Experience building ESRI apps : Field Maps, Story Maps, Experience Builder, Dashboard, Survey 123, or Quick Capture.Experience integrating Microsoft Office data within GIS.Motor Vehicle Operator's license is valid in the state of Missouri.Why Join Us At the City of St. Peters, you'll put your technical expertise to work in a role that makes a visible impact across multiple departments and the community we serve.
