We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of HR operations at our organization in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role involves managing critical HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, training, payroll, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a high degree of confidentiality, and the ability to provide strategic guidance to senior leadership.
Responsibilities :
- Manage all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws.
- Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational objectives.
- Design and execute initiatives for talent development, career progression, and succession planning.
- Develop and maintain employee policies, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and performance management coaching.
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of payroll and ensure accurate reporting and compliance with payroll regulations.
- Negotiate employee benefits, manage open enrollment processes, and oversee enrollment and termination procedures.
- Conduct audits, including payroll and benefits, and prepare necessary documentation for year-end reporting.
- Coordinate employee recognition programs and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and compliance with employment laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems, such as Kronos, is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, talent management, and benefits administration.
- Experience in payroll processing and reporting is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
