Title : Certified Nursing Assistant
Length of assignment : 14 Weeks
Shift : 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM
Minimum guarantee : 37
Location : Bennington, VT
Job Summary :
Responsibilities :
1. Takes vital signs, height and weight.
2. Assists with PPDs and EKGs
3. Draws blood.
4. Measures and records intake and output.
5. Assists with patient treatments such as dressing changes, decubitus ulcer and tracheostomy care.
6. Schedules appointments
7. Adheres to safety and security policies and participates in disaster drills.
8. Follows security regulations for keys, sharps and controlled medications.
9. Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications :
1. Certified by a professional organization in the state. Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.
2. High School graduate or equivalent
3. Requires critical thinking, organizational, decisive judgement, communication, and good customer service skills. Must be able to handle multiple tasks, be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions as needed. Must follow Corizon and departmental policies and procedures at all times.
4. Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Work Environment :
Correctional officers provide security; however, some degree of risk of verbal and physical assault from inmates exists. As in any healthcare setting, employees may be exposed to communicable and / or infectious diseases. Inside work with periodic traveling (inter and intra state) to other locations with exposure to weather, temperature extremes and hazardous road conditions. Frequent standing and walking while presenting or performing job duties. Adheres to site / contract specific on-call requirements.
