Napa Bistro & Wine Bar at Stonecrest is seeking a skilled and passionate Sauté Cook to join our culinary team. If you love working with fresh ingredients, crafting flavorful dishes, and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, this is your chance to shine.

What You’ll Be Doing :

  • Sautéing a variety of meats, seafood, vegetables, and more to perfection using classic techniques
  • Following recipes to ensure consistency in flavor, presentation, and portioning
  • Prepping ingredients—chopping, slicing, marinating—to keep service running smoothly
  • Tasting and adjusting dishes to meet our high standards before they reach the guest
  • Coordinating with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
  • Keeping your station clean, organized, and ready for action
  • Following all food safety and hygiene protocols
  • Monitoring inventory and communicating supply needs to the chef or manager
  • Collaborating with fellow cooks and chefs to keep the kitchen flowing
  • Adapting to menu changes and special guest requests with ease

    Requirements : Requirements :

  • Proven experience as a sauté cook or similar role in a professional kitchen.
  • Knowledge of sauté techniques and the ability to handle various ingredients effectively.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment, including sauté pans, induction burners, and other tools.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy pots and pans.
  • Education and Training :

  • Experience through on-the-job training and apprenticeships in professional kitchen required
  • A formal culinary education or relevant culinary certificate preferred.
