Nurse Manager
Charter House's mission is to provide the best care through practice, education, and research. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Nurse Manager to join our team. Responsibilities will include :
- Providing leadership and operations management consistent with the philosophy, mission, values and goals of Charter House with support and direction of the Director of Health Services.
- Directing the activities of the registered nurses.
- Assessing, diagnosing, outcome identification, planning, implementing, and evaluating is the basis for all care delivered by the Nurse Manager.
- Accountable for planning, directing and coordinating the delivery of direct resident care and for the supervision of the nursing care provided by professional and ancillary nursing personnel.
- Collaborating and communicating with interdisciplinary health care team members, residents, and family / significant others to meet the care, educational and discharge needs.
- Adhering to Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice and Nurse Practice Act.
- Supporting and engagement in dementia care and providing dementia training for staff exceeds state requirements.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification; Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
To be considered for this position, you must have a BSN and current RN license registered with the Minnesota Board of Nursing, and CPR Certification.
In lieu of a BSN, you may qualify if you have an associate degree in nursing, and 3 years of long-term care experience. You must have a current RN license registered with the Minnesota Board of Nursing, and CPR Certification.
Additional Qualifications
Master's degree in Nursing, business or a health-related field is preferred.Previous nursing experience with long-term care, including dementia care, assisted living, home health or acute care is preferred.Long-term care experience is preferred.Ability to work independently.Good communication and human relations skills to interact with staff, residents, and families / significant others.Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collect, compare, sort, and prioritize information to be used in the decision-making process for groups of residents and employees.Adaptable to unpredictable situations and stress.Working flexible hours which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.Maintaining current CPR certification.Licensure
Minnesota Board of Nursing Registered Nurse License, and CPR Certification are required.
