Overview
As a Submarine Network Administrator On-Site Representative (NOSR), you will provide IT support to the submarine fleet, focused on supporting submarine networks. The NOSR will provide liaison support between the crew and support agencies, ensuring that submarine networks are in compliance with DoD, Navy, and MARMC policies. The NOSR will mentor network administrators by providing network assessments that enrich the crew's administration capabilities.
This position is pending future contract award, and can be based in one of three locations : Norfolk, VA; Groton, CT; or Kings Bay, GA.
Clearance
- Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain / maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Provide administration support, guidance, training, and monitoring of Submarine Networks.Support networks including client support and laptops / workstations.Mentor and provide training to LAN administrators on maintenance and administration procedures.Conduct assessments of network administration capabilities.Required Education, Skills, and Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or other IT related fieldFive (5) years of specific professional experience supporting Submarine NetworksSeven (7) years of IT operations and / or maintenanceExperience with CANES and COMPOSEExperience with at least 2 of the following : NTCSS, NTDPS, HBSS, GCCS-M, NIAPSIAT level III Certification such as CISSP, CISA, CCNP Security, SecurityX, etc.Experience in the RMF processPreferred Experience
Knowledge of information security principlesPhysical Demands and Expectations
