Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations in a professional manner. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence. Respond promptly to incidents and critical situations, using a calm and problem-solving approach to address any issues that arise within the healthcare environment. Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and assist those who require directions or information. Document and report incidents, observations, and any unusual activities according to site protocols and Allied Universal procedures. Communicate and collaborate with facility staff and / or local authorities as needed to address security-related matters or emergency response activities. Support a welcoming and professional environment for everyone on the property by maintaining a courteous and approachable demeanor during all interactions. At least 2 years of security-related experience is required. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Security Officer - Armed
As a Security Officer - Armed in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct regular patrols, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will provide support to staff, patients, and visitors while offering outstanding customer service and communication.
