Security Officer - Armed

As a Security Officer - Armed in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct regular patrols, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will provide support to staff, patients, and visitors while offering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations in a professional manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Respond promptly to incidents and critical situations, using a calm and problem-solving approach to address any issues that arise within the healthcare environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and assist those who require directions or information.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and any unusual activities according to site protocols and Allied Universal procedures.
  • Communicate and collaborate with facility staff and / or local authorities as needed to address security-related matters or emergency response activities.
  • Support a welcoming and professional environment for everyone on the property by maintaining a courteous and approachable demeanor during all interactions.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
