Supervisor House Registered Nurse

Position Summary

: Responsible for supervising McLaren Bay Region staff in performing patient related clinical activities in area of jurisdiction for assigned shift. Responsible for ensuring patient placement is timely and appropriate, based on patient need and available resources.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

• Uses independent judgement to exercise authority on behalf of the Medical Center, including :

A.Disciplining subordinates according to Medical Center procedure.

B.Assigning work to employees and directing the workflow in area of jurisdiction

C.Resolving employee complaints / concerns

D.Conducting periodic performance appraisal interviews with subordinates if requested / assigned.

A.Assists managers / directors in relaying pertinent information to staff and reinforcing changes in policies and procedures.

B.Provides feedback to Patient Care Services Administration regarding concerns, suggestions, and / or significant events.
