Procurement Manager - Life Sciences - 12-Month Contract
Our client, a global Pharmaceutical manufacturing organization are looking for a talented Procurement Manager to join their expanding team. With continued organizational growth and considerable investment across their portfolio and capital programs this is an extremely exciting opportunity to contribute towards their brand-new manufacturing facility on the East Coast of the United States.
Responsibilities :
- He or she will take full accountability for the creation of project procurement strategies, and successful implementation of sourcing, tendering, negotiations and contracts.
- Works with project team members to assess project drivers, and external market conditions, to develop Project Procurement Strategies.
- Create detailed procurement plans and identifies which project team members shall be involved in which packages.
- Research new vendors in the market.
- Manage prequalification of potential vendors, with respect to ethics, safety and financial stability.
- Shortlists vendors, in line with category strategies.
- Develop tender packages, and manages tenders, via the client’s e-sourcing platform, in some cases with support from the global procurement support services hub.
- Lead the assessment of tenders, by procurement and the project teams, and the post-tender vendor meetings and clarifications.
- Lead vendor negotiations on price, lead-times, and contract conditions.
- Prepare all contracts and gathers contract approvals and signatures.
- Resolves vendor issues, such as performance, delivery expediting.
- Participate in multiple continuous improvement initiatives for the function, such as process development, template and contract improvements.
- Undertake internal and external analysis to assist with internal forecasting, and inform supply market sourcing decisions.
- Report cost savings via the client Value Tracking system
- Comply with all client requirements relevant to the role, e.g. Code of Conduct, contract approvals, third party risk management
Requirements :
5+ years experience in a similar roleExperience in Building Construction / Construction Project Management experience.Procured materials over $kDemonstrated project management skills.The ability to explain general capability area information to others or collect / translate moderate complexity stakeholder requirements in straightforward situations.Knowledgeable in procurement systems and operational processes, such as contracting, (e) Sourcing, and spot buying is desired.Knowledge in the Engineering (CAPEX) with awareness of adjacent commodities (Utility Equipment and Custom Engineered Equipment)Experience or demonstrated understanding in supporting cost reduction and value improvement programs.Familiar with Legal Contracts (SOW - Scope of Work)Detail Oriented and self-driving workIf this role is of interest to you, please apply now!
