Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Manage, using Core Values, all Dallas flooring estimators and coordinate reporting to you
- Vacation, L&D, Reviews, etc. Manage market knowledge and pricing
- Manage Projections with BD; work with BD directly
- Know customer base and types of jobs; build relationships with PreCon of companies
- Allocate estimators to jobs, understanding strengths and weaknesses
- Manage Building Connected
- Bid not to bid
- Analyze wins and losses
- Review bids (scope, bid forms, bonds, etc.)
- Needs assessment and hiring
- Train estimators
- Estimating 10-20% Managing; 70% sales; 10% other
- Scorecard : hitting core targets, estimate $4M in Dallas, touches
- Collaborate on when to take a job and when not to
- Timing, manpower allocation, leadership, type of job
