Any candidate for the Senior Pastor of Redmond Church of God must be credentialed by, and in good standing with the Church of God, Anderson Indiana, or in the process of being credentialed by the same.
The Senior Pastor is expected to be supportive of our current ministries without necessarily being in charge of them.
At this time these would include
· Youth Program
· Women’s ministry
· Men’s Ministry
· Overcomers ( Christ centered step recovery program)
· Gleaners ( Bible discussion group)
· Weiss House ( housing ministry)
We are seeking a Pastor for Redmond Church of God who :
· Has strong preaching skills
· Is a spiritual role model and lead a life of prayer
· Teaches people about faith in our Lord Jesus Christ who is the Son of God
· Has some course work in counseling
· Good organized administrative skills
Purpose:
Responsible to the church to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ
Uses the Bible as the foundation of all preaching and teaching
Engage in Pastoral Care ministries
Provide leadership of the congregation into a deeper more meaningful relationship to Jesus Christ.
Provide spiritual oversight and administrative leadership in all areas of the church life.
Qualifications:
1. Born again and have a personal testimony of their personal conversion and commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
2. Have a clear and open calling to serve the Lord in Pastoral Ministry
3. Align with the standard and committed to preach the basic theology of the Church of God doctrine of Anderson, Indiana.
4. Committed to integrity and accountability to those they serve
5. Biblical qualifications for an elder
6. Theological study and training desired
7. Theological perspective that is conservative and adheres to the inerrancy of the whole Word of God
8. Public speaking ability, effective communicator
9. Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire to actions and support and encourage the goals of the Church body had helped identify.
