Accounting Clerk
Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk. This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential financial functions, including invoice matching, data entry, and accounts payable / receivable processing. Responsibilities include processing and maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable transactions. Reconcile bank statements and assist in month-end and year-end financial closings. Generate financial reports and assist with audits by providing requested documentation. Verify the accuracy of invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports. Enter and update financial data in accounting software systems with a high level of accuracy. Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting. Monitor overdue accounts and perform collection activities as needed. Respond to vendor and client inquiries regarding billing and payment issues. Support other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by management.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is required. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, is necessary. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work are required. Effective communication and organizational skills are important. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment is needed. Familiarity with basic accounting principles and procedures is required. Experience with payroll processing or financial statement preparation is a plus.
