Registered California AMFT, APCC, or ASW Grow Through Life Counseling is seeking a registered associate therapist to be part of a growing outpatient, private group practice with a reputation for getting our associates to licensure! This position requires 4 days onsite and will provide both in-person care AND telehealth care from any of our 9 locations in San Diego. Evenings and weekends are needed due to patient care requests. - Manage a caseload of clients with a focus on continuous developmental growth
- Attend and actively participate in regular clinical triadic supervision and seek guidance from a team of clinicians, while providing peer support
- Maintain caseload management responsibilities and administer treatment planning for effective care
- Balance a caseload of clients while collaborating with peers for impactful client outcomes
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Manage appropriate referrals to higher levels of care
- Assessment and diagnosis of outpatient clients
- Use clinical discernment with scheduling clients according to the treatment plan for clinical needs
- Identify and work through resistance from clients
- Desire to complete hours toward licensure and to become a licensed clinician
- Participate in social opportunities to connect with the team, both onsite and at all practice events Qualifications :
- Desire to build leadership skills and work closely with the leadership team
- Valid and active AMFT, ASW, or APCC registration in the State of California
- Experience as an effective outpatient provider (preferred)
- Compliant with all legal and ethical guidelines
- Compliant with HIPAA laws
- Complete timely documentation
- Prepare for clinical supervision with questions
- Understanding of child development and needs at various stages
- Understanding of youth and adult mental health disorders, and the ability to support assessments
- Willingness to conduct family and couples sessions
- Willingness to treat all ages from youth to the elderly across the lifespan
- Long-term commitment to patient care and a desire to grow with the practice
- Mentor opportunities for those with a desire to lead and support others as an associate therapist
- Desire to treat clients in person (not only via Telehealth), and be on-site with the team
