Description

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is looking for an RN to join our Cardiology team in our Outpatient office located in Waterbury

As an RN in our busy outpatient practice, you’ll deliver direct patient care, including triaging patient calls, administering medications and injections, assisting with stress tests and cardiac procedures, and providing education on lifestyle changes, medication management, and disease prevention. We’re looking for a team-oriented RN who is reliable, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences in a fast-paced, specialized environment.

What You Will Do

  • collaborate closely with our cardiologists and the care team to coordinate testing, follow-up care, and treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
  • Contributes to overall quality of nursing care through performance improvement techniques that impact patient care positively.
  • Educate patients and family members so that they have a transparent understanding of the care being provided.
  • Understanding of computer-based applications (E-MAR, clinical documentation), email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education : Graduate of an accredited R.N. program.
  • Licensure : Current Connecticut R.N. license required; CPR required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification preferred.
  • Experience : Competent in a Windows-based computer system. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Multi-tasking, problem solving and decision-making skills required. Ability to organize, analyze and interpret clinical data. High level of dependability and accuracy required.
  • Flexibility to meet the coverage needs of the department.
