Operations Manager / Site Supervisor
Shift / Hours : Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM
Pay : $80K+ DOE
Location : Angleton, TX
The Operations Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for the overall efficiency, productivity, and safety of our fabrication shop and administrative office. This position oversees all daily operations, from production scheduling and quality control to facility maintenance, logistics, and personnel management. The successful candidate will be a decisive leader with a proven ability to optimize workflows, maintain high safety standards, and drive a culture of continuous improvement to ensure on-time, accurate delivery of fabricated products.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and Supervise All Operations : Directly oversee all daily activities of the fabrication shop, office, yard staff, and drivers, ensuring coordinated productivity.
- Manage Production Scheduling : Plan, organize, and adjust daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer deadlines and maximize resource utilization.
- Maintain Quality Control (QC) : Enforce quality assurance procedures, review fabrication drawings (cut lists, bends) for accuracy, and oversee the final inspection of all products before shipment.
- Drive Safety & Compliance : Maintain a safe work environment in strict compliance with OSHA standards, conducting regular safety meetings and investigating all incidents.
- Oversee Equipment Management : Manage the operation, repair, and preventive maintenance program for all fabrication machinery, equipment, forklifts, and vehicles to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate Logistics & Inventory : Manage the receiving, storage, and handling of raw rebar and materials, maintaining accurate inventory, and coordinating delivery scheduling.
- Ensure Facility Upkeep : Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and structural upkeep of the shop, yard, buildings, and utility systems.
- Personnel Management : Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of diverse staff, promoting teamwork and accountability across departments.
- Provide Administrative Oversight : Supervise administrative processes, including order entry and production reporting, and approve purchase orders and timesheets.
- Lead Continuous Improvement : Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, material utilization, and safety protocols.
