Respiratory Therapist RRT, Per Diem

Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Position Summary : Respiratory Therapist RRT, Registered, Per Diem

A Respiratory Therapist (RT) is a professional member of the healthcare team who provides skilled respiratory care to newborns through geriatrics under the direction / orders of a physician. The RT assists in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary diseases and related disorders in a professional and competent manner. RT participates in providing patient and family education. The RT may assess a patient’s respiratory status and recommend appropriate therapy.

Responsibilities :

Ability to perform the following :

ABG machine,

Ventilator management,

EKGs & EEGs Chest PT,

Arterial punctures

Pulmonary Functions

Requirements :

Education : Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a Certificate of Completion from an AMA accredited program in Respiratory care is required.

Certification / Licensure :

MA Respiratory Care licensure, including 261 CMR 5.00 Continuing Education Requirement. (Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), or Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LRT))

Current BLS and ACLS preferred.

Experience : 1 year of acute care experience preferred.

Software / Hardware : Experience with Meditech is preferred.
