Certified Medical Coder

A company is looking for a Coder for Provider Practice in Fargo Family Medicine and Enterprise PT / OT / ST.

Key Responsibilities

Review medical documentation and assign appropriate codes (ICD-10, HCPCS, CPT)

Support coding compliance and assist in denial review and appeals management

Convey coding guidelines to medical professionals to enhance documentation accuracy

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Associate degree in Health Information Technology or Certification in Coding required

Knowledge of diagnostic and procedural terminology preferred

Successful coursework in ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding schemes preferred

Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CPC-A, CCS, CCS-P, CCS-H, or COC required

If not certified at hire, certification must be obtained within one year of hire
