Assistant Director of Rehabilitation (ADoR) ?
Prior ADoR or significant supervisory / leadership experience preferred.
Preferred Licensure (PT / PTA / COTA / OTR)
Responsibilities :
Relationship Management : Assists the Director in assessing and reconciling problems between the Business Unit and other hospital departments, medical staff, and customers adequately and efficiently.
Operations Management : Acts as a key liaison for aspects of business operations including financial oversight, marketing / promotion, and physician relationships. Assists in the management of the day-to-day operational activities of the assigned departments. Supports the Director in establishing department goals and ensuring appropriate staffing is budgeted and available. Assists with team member education as necessary. May represent the business unit and program initiatives on hospital committees as delegated.
Service : Responsible for patient satisfaction in all areas of responsibility, promoting the best experience for all patients and guests.
Strategic Planning : Supports the Director in maintaining a clear vision of the future of the business unit and works actively with all internal and external customers to fulfill this vision. Assists in the effective implementation of the strategic plan and milestones. Supports the evaluation of technology's role and may recommend plans to technologically advance the department. Assists in identifying resource needs (people, equipment, facilities) to support implementation of plans.
Regulatory Compliance : Assists the Director in ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies and overseeing all inspections; supports appropriate modifications as required with changes in regulations. Helps develop a plan of action to citations when necessary.
Provision of Service : Ensures appropriate clinical practice activities are being delivered to patients within the established standards of care. Therapy is provided in a safe environment, utilizing proper body mechanics. Ensures patient evaluations and plans of care are administered in a manner appropriate to the patient's disability and needs. Ensures appropriate treatment techniques are implemented with patients.
People Management : Assists and / or manages the recruitment, development, and supervision of team members. Creates and sustains an environment that fosters team member engagement. Establishes clear objectives tied to department and / or organizational strategic goals. Coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports as assigned.
Financial Management : Involved in the development and / or management of budget for assigned areas. Regularly monitors relevant key financial indicators and performance metrics, modifying business activities where needed in response to changing financial situations, under the guidance of the Director.
Data Management and Analytics : Track, analyze, and report on relevant data and metrics as needed and / or requested. Develop, recommend and / or implement actions or process improvements as appropriate.
Other duties and / or projects as assigned.

Qualifications :
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :
Bachelor's degree in physical therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech, or Audiology OR an associate's degree for licensed Assistants (PTA / COTA).
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience with one year of supervisory experience.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred :
Master's degree in physical therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech, or Audiology.
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience with three years of supervisory experience.
Licenses and Certifications Required :
CT State Therapy License (PT, PTA, OTR, COTA, or SLP / ST)
